The most common modality of massage is Swedish. It's known for its relaxation properties and technique. But not only that, Swedish massage is super beneficial and increases oxygen levels in the blood, while detoxifying muscles, and improving circulation and flexibility. It also relieves tension.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massages don't have to be scary! We offer what's called a deeper tissue massage. Deep tissue massages are similar to Swedish massages, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing muscle tension. Deep tissue focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints). You are welcome to customize the pressure of your deep tissue massage with your therapist throughout the Massage.
Studies indicate that massage therapy performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health. Mommies to be, you absolutely need this! Let your overworked pregnant muscles relax in a warm, nurturing prenatal massage and loosen some of that tension. A happy mommy is a happy baby! Hot Stone Massage
The hot stones expand blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body. The hot stones have a sedative effect that can relieve chronic pain, reduce stress and promote deep relaxation. Imagine relaxing and unwinding with hot stones massaged over all your stressed out, tense muscles. Heat loosens achy muscles and relaxes and may even soothe you to sleep. But try not to, because this massage is not to be missed!
